Even if you feel great today, greater health is highly possible! And since health affects every aspect of your life, you could steer yourself into experiencing an extraordinary life that is not even on your current radar.

Hi there, it’s Elaine Gardner, the founder of DesignYourHealthyLife.com. The last video I sent you about two weeks ago, was all about preparing for travel and some really great techniques that I employ when I’m away to help me feel my best, so I can get the most out of my experiences. And so this is a little bit of a follow up video to that because I had some really surprising insights or experiences about my health and my ability to enjoy those events while I was away.

You may or may not be aware that I struggled for more than 20 years, more than two decades of my life, with significant health challenges. Nothing life threatening, thank God, and that’s something that I’m so incredibly grateful for, but I was miserable. I felt terrible every day, just getting by was all I could do. And certainly, when you’re in that kind of state, you can’t enjoy your life to the fullest. I was just getting through my days, and even that was a struggle for me.

So it never ceases to amaze me how my life changes, and my ability to experience a higher level of satisfaction and joy when I do have the experiences that I set out for myself now. This past event that I just went to recently, was an incredible example of that. I had some significant concerns going into the event about the long days, the lack of breaks for food, access to healthy food (which was pretty much non-existent), and I just thought that I was going to feel awful, sleep deprived, and my belly would hurt, and I wouldn’t have focus and energy. But the event was amazing and I got so much out of it.

Now part of the reason I got so much out of it is because this particular event, Tony Robbins: Unleash the Power Within, is designed to help you maximize your physiology through difficult challenges like not eating well and not getting enough sleep, so that you can maximize your physiology in a heartbeat. That way you can enjoy all those things even when the conditions aren’t ideal. And it was just phenomenal.

I did great during the event. I thought I would crash when I got home and I wasn’t in that environment anymore, but I did really, really well. I know from following other attendees that were there in the Facebook group that other people did feel sick or did crash when they got back from the event, but I didn’t. I actually felt great. I got home and less than 24 hours later, I was on the road again and heading up to Maine for a family reunion, with again, less than ideal conditions.

The food was eh, so-so. I slept really well but I didn’t get enough sleep. But it was just phenomenal and even though I didn’t feel my best because the food wasn’t the best, I did really well. I didn’t crash, I didn’t have a lack of focus, I didn’t feel so fatigued that I didn’t want to participate in the events. One evening when we were up kind of late having a family party, and I was just watching other people be a little bit more energetic and one of my cousins drew me out of that and got me dancing. And I just did great. And again, I’m completely blown away by how focusing on my health all the time improves my life experiences and how much better I do when conditions aren’t ideal. It never ceases to amaze me.

So the whole point of this video today is to share with you how you can continue to strengthen your health over time, and how much it can change your life experiences. And don’t settle. A lot of people get stuck in, “this is how my body is”, “I have this health challenge or this limitation” and “this is the way it’s going to be for the rest of my life”. I can tell you from personal experience that this is not how it has to be. And if you are committed to making a difference in the way that your body feels and to working on your health all the time, be persistent about it and be patient. Unfortunately, a lot of things take a lot longer than you think they might, and a lot of people give up before they actually achieve the results that they can, so they never realize where they can actually go. You can get to a higher place, and even if you’re in a place where you feel good all the time, or most of the time, there’s still a possibility that you can feel even better, and that your life could just keep getting better and better, along with your health.

So don’t settle, keep pushing, and let me know if there’s something that’s not feeling right in your life or if you need any support or encouragement. That is what I’m passionate about! I would love to support you and help you, please reach out to me and let me know. Otherwise, don’t give up, keep pushing forward! I want you to have the health that you need to live the life that you deserve, which may be so much more extraordinary than anything that you could possibly have on your current radar. It’s possible!
